The Diagnosis

With the help of host Jon Beerman, Sarah Cash describes the very difficult process of getting an Autoimmune Encephalitis diagnosis for her 14-year old daughter, Jillian. The journey to get the diagnosis has been challenging to say the least and it is only the beginning. She was diagnosed in late March 2021 and is currently awaiting results of the spinal tap. IMPORTANT NOTE: After the recording of this podcast, it was determined that Jillian was not officially diagnosed with AE as they needed to do more testing, but as of late June 2021 she was confirmed to have the disease. Episode 2 was recorded shortly after her official diagnosis and treatment.
