The Confirmed Diagnosis, Initial Treatment, and Plan

Autoimmune Encephalitis is a rare disease that has historically been very difficult to diagnose. It mostly affects young women and sometimes goes undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for years, often times being passed off as a psychological disorder or torrets syndrome. In Jillian's case, the doctors also had a hard time diagnosing her and it took about 6 months to get there. In this episode, host Jon Beerman is joined by Jillian Cash, Sarah Cash, and Jillian's grandfather Tom. They discuss the jounrey of getting to a fully confirmed diagnosis, her initial treatment plan, and the plan moving forward.
